The origin of the festival comes from the relationship that
exists with the group 'Elai Alai' of Portugalete (Bizkaia)
that used to organize their own festival many years before.

They put in contact with Erketz suggesting the option of organizing
a similar event in a neighbouring town.
It was decided to do it in Lasarte-Oria, and the first stage took
place in the court of Michelin.
The big success that was obteined in organization and audience estimulated
to keep the festival every year.

This year, as it is becoming usual, the stage will be hold
in the townhall sports place and it will be in Julay the 19th
at 22'30 hrs. with advanced tickets available in the following
bars: Patricio and Viña del Mar, and before the performance
in the booking office of the sport place for 7 Euros.
Besides Erketz, more three international groups take part
in a 2:30 hrs. show with an intermediate rest.

During the afternoon the groups make a parade through the
streets of the town where they give a previous show of what
the audience'll see some hours later.
